Travel Tuesday in Portugal Snapshot

Phew… the last few weeks and the several ahead are peak high season for me. Double header weekends shooting the most fabulous couples who are so deeply in love. So with that, I have neglected my travel posts but not because I wasn’t thinking about traveling So, the next trip on my list is Peru. I will be headed to Cusco in early August and have been loosely planning it with another girlfriend of mine who actually lives in Cusco. Side note, how incredibly cool is that? She did however break her foot recently while entertaining herself with carnies… yes, folks, you read that right. Broke her foot while hanging with some carnies. I did not ask for any additional details – I like to think she was doing some kind of cool up side down acrobatics, like hanging from a tight rope with just her big toe or something else just as wacko! Can you imagine what the images will come from that trip?? I can’t wait to get there! Anyhow, trips are coming and I cant wait to share! Until then, below is a sneak peek from our trip to Portugal. Jon and I hiked 12 miles on a quest to get to the 2nd highest cliff in Europe and, on the way, we found the most adorable fishing town… I was simply obsessed with this gorgeous boat!

Amanda and Juan Annapolis Engagement Snapshot

Annapolis- what an incredible location for an engagement session! History, boating, cute little shops, and something around every corner to grab your attention. Despite all those distractions, Amanda and Juan were completely consumed by each other. Their love is contagious, fun, and so intense. There was not a cloud in the sky and the sun was so golden- we spent some time in historic Annapolis just before getting on Amanda’s brother’s sail boat! Yup, guys – we went sailing for their e-session. Amanda and Juan, I can’t even tell you how excited I am for your wedding in July at St. Johns College!!!

Can I just say how much I love my clients? The next image on the bottom right is Juan and Amanda poking fun! As photographers we all have those brain fart moments when we dont know where we want your hands, feet, eyes, whatever. I guess when I have that moment, my hands go wacky and they imitated! I love you both and how much fun you had with it!

Travel Tuesday in Vatican City Snapshot

Vatican City is one of those places which completely consumes you. As you walk toward the mouth of the city, it’s almost as if youre pulled in unknowingly. Masses of visitors of the present and past flow by all while your eyes are locked on the incredible architecture before you. Soon daydreams of the Pope and all the events held here, rush through your body. You try deperately to cling to all of those moments but there are far too many to digest. Below are some images depicting my perspective of the city and representations of how this holy land has truly withstood the test of time. There are images of flooding, cracked pavement, and yet they highlight the intricate detail and beauty in every glance. Oh and I had to sneak in a couple of my husband and our trek to the top of the St. Peter’s Basilica.
